Generous support from the Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne enabled us to expand our residency at the Royal Academy of Music to bring six performers and three composers into a three-year residency with Riot. The composers each wrote five new works across the three years, featuring the performers side-by-side Riot’s team as colleagues, soloists and collaborators. These projects are detailed below.

In addition to the ‘in-house’ projects, a number of the performers have already joined Riot on professional stages ranging from the Barbican to the Ernst von Siemens Musikprize performance in Munich, and a number of the mentees took their own initiative to found Flux: A new music ensemble for the next generation of performers and composers.
